GENERAL COMMENTS:

Moderate to strong buyer support is redeveloping in the livestock complex early Wednesday morning. The focus is being put on the grain complex surrounding the morning release of the USDA crop reports. This could shift buyer activity in the livestock market later in the day, but for now, buying remains firm. Corn futures are trading lower in early trade. The stock market is trading higher. Dow Jones is 95 points higher, and Nasdaq is up 17 points.

LIVE CATTLE:

Opening call: Steady to 40 cents higher. Early support is seen through the live cattle futures market Wednesday morning. ...
