GENERAL COMMENTS:

Hog buyers are out this morning with bids ranging from 50 cents lower to $1 higher. However, most packers appear to be working with steady money. While the cash cattle trade should be typically quiet this morning with packers moving to collect new showlists, limit trade volume last week suggests that significant cash business could surface earlier than expected this week thanks to short-bought processors needing to cover short-term slaughter needs.
