GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are expected to open under pressure. Cattle futures should take the brunt of any downward shift in the complex as cash market uncertainty lingers. Expectations that the Cattle on Feed report will show larger placements than expected are weighing on feeder cattle futures. Corn futures are higher. The stock market is mixed. The Dow Jones index is holding a 47-point loss while Nasdaq is up 7 points.
