GENERAL COMMENTS:

Light to moderate support is expected to develop in the live cattle and lean hog futures market. Firmness in outside markets could have some positive spillover impact on buyer interest Thursday morning. Although there is growing uncertainty about meat demand, traders are very closely attuned to the movement in the cash markets. Corn futures are trading higher in early trade. The stock market is trading higher. Dow Jones index is holding a 22 point gain while Nasdaq is up 2 points.
