GENERAL COMMENTS:

Livestock futures are called to open moderately lower in the live cattle and lean hog futures early Wednesday. Sharp losses have once again developed in the lightly traded feeder cattle complex. This could set the tone for the day, unless additional support quickly develops. Corn futures are trading mixed in early electronic trade. Stock markets are higher in light trade. Dow Jones is 77 points higher while the Nasdaq is up 18 points.
