GENERAL COMMENTS:

Nothing yet stirring on the fed-cattle front. Significant buying interest is not likely to surface until Thursday or Friday. A few showlists have been tentatively priced around $126-128 in the South and $203-205 in the North. Many Iowa roads are icy and snow-packed this morning, conditions that could limit the early cash hog trade. Nevertheless, opening bids seem generally steady and it remains to be seen if packers will have trouble getting sufficient numbers to move.
