GENERAL COMMENTS:

Moderate to strong price support is quickly developing in the live cattle futures market with nearby contracts holding a $1 per cwt rally in front of opening pit trade. It is still uncertain just how much activity will develop through the morning and if this optimism can be carried through the entire trading session. Traders are looking for moderate decreases in marketing and overall cattle numbers.
