GENERAL COMMENTS:

Light to moderate buyer support is developing across the livestock market early Thursday morning. It is still uncertain just how much momentum will be carried through the market following opening bell of pit trade, but for now, the pressure in the grain complex appears to be drawing buyers into both the cattle and hog futures markets. Corn futures are trading lower in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading mixed, with Dow Jones posting a 55 point gain, while Nasdaq is down 9 points.
