GENERAL COMMENTS:

Early movement in the livestock market is expected to remain subdued following the Christmas holiday break. Trade volume through the rest of the week is expected to remain light as traditionally activity between Christmas and New Year's is sluggish as traders focus on year-end positioning as well as extending holiday vacations. There is expected to be increased attention in the cash and wholesale meat markets, not only focusing on market direction, but overall amount of product and animals moved at the end of the year.
