GENERAL COMMENTS:

Moderate to strong support is expected to redevelop through the lean hog futures market early Thursday with traders focusing on additional potential support in pork values as well as higher cash markets through the end of the week. Cattle futures are called mixed, but building fundamental and technical support could push markets higher through morning trade. Corn futures are trading lower in early electronic trade. Stock markets are trading higher, with Dow Jones posting a 48-point gain, while Nasdaq is up 21 points.
