OMAHA (DTN) -- Live cattle futures are holding gains, but support is limited to a very narrow trading range at midday. Mixed direction in boxed beef values seems to keep most traders on the sidelines. Lean hog futures are mostly higher as buyer support in deferred contracts still leads the market direction as traders focus on narrowing price spreads between nearby and deferred contract months.
