OMAHA (DTN) -- Pressure continues to develop in cattle futures as the lack of buyer momentum is creating some end-of-the-week position-taking opportunities through the complex. Nearby contracts are trading 40 to 50 cents per cwt lower in live cattle futures with very little indication that buyers will be willing to step into the market no matter what beef values or cash markets do through the day. Gains are still strong in lean hog futures with April futures continuing to push prices higher with a $1 per cwt gain midmorning.
