OMAHA (DTN) -- Softness in cash hog prices and pork carcass values in this morning reports led to lean hog futures backing away from session highs, although moderate to strong gains are still holding in nearby lean hog futures as traders look for support from the cattle market and potential higher prices in the afternoon hog reports. Cattle futures are still aggressive with feeder futures expanding mid-morning gains to nearly $1.50 per cwt at midday.
