OMAHA (DTN) -- Cattle futures are mostly lower at midday despite strong movement in the morning boxed beef report. Despite the lower prices, the trading range has been kept extremely narrow. This could keep prices mixed through the end of the session. Strong gains are holding in the August lean hog futures market. Trade volume remains light, but the ability of to hold onto strong gains through the end of the month could help to spark increased technical support through the complex.
