OMAHA (DTN) -- Early gains across livestock futures contracts are starting to fade as traders approach the closing bell for Wednesday. Markets will close early before the Fourth of July holiday and remain closed on Thursday. Trade is very light. Live cattle futures are holding gains of 2 to 15 cents per cwt at midday with early buyer support running out of steam. Trader interest is extremely light as more and more appear to be focused on holiday plans with no additional market direction expected before closing bell.
