OMAHA (DTN) -- Despite weakness in the morning boxed beef report and lower cash hog values in the morning report, both lean hog and live cattle futures continue to hold moderate to strong gains. The support of $120 per cwt in the June live cattle futures contracts has drawn additional buyer support into the market Thursday. Lean hog futures are holding 20 to 50 cent gains at midday as firm support is developing, expecting that pork demand may not be as bearish as previously thought.
