OMAHA (DTN) -- December live cattle futures are holding 50 cent gains as the contract will expire at noon Monday. Other nearby live cattle futures are mixed in a narrow range after bouncing higher and lower through the lightly traded morning. Lean hog futures are sharply lower, although very little trade activity has developed since the first few minutes of trade. Trade volume is expected to remain sluggish through the end of the session, which will likely keep sharp triple digit losses in tack.
