According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is $0.73 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($104.00-$115.00, weighted average $113.72). Corn futures rose moderately, up 9 1/4 to 9 3/4 across the board.


Futures closed higher, up 67 to 77. Moderate gains held through live cattle futures Tuesday following the strong support seen in feeder cattle futures.
