GENERAL COMMENTS:

From Friday to Friday, livestock futures scored the following changes: Apr LC, Off 3.45 Jun LC, Off 3.55; May FC, Off.98; Aug FC, Off .80; Apr LH, Off 2.42; May LH, Off 4.70. Light to moderate trading developed in the cash cattle market today as reluctant packers moved to cover immediate slaughter needs. Live sales in the South were marked at $148, generally $2 lower than last week. Dressed business in the North ranged from $239 to $242, $2 to $4 lower than the previous week.
