GENERAL COMMENTS:

The cash cattle trade was limited to scattered sales following Tuesday's higher trade. A few dressed deals were reported in the North at $244 to $245. Several pens were sold in Kansas at $152. All prices were steady with Tuesday but $2 higher than last week's live trade. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is 0.40 higher ($121.47 to $130.00, weighted average $126.97). Corn futures were lower Wednesday, down 2 in the May and July and down 2 1/4 from September through July 2015.
