GENERAL COMMENTS:

According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is 1.15 lower ($116.00 to $134.00, weighted average $126.64). Corn futures were lower Tuesday, down 3 1/2 in the May, down 3 1/4 in the July and down 1 1/2 in the December.
