DTN Closing Livestock Comments

From Friday to Friday, livestock futures scored the following changes: Apr LC, Off 1.72 Jun LC, Up 1.67; Mar FC, Up .67; May FC, Up .70; Apr LH, Up 6.15; May LH, Up 6.35. The cash cattle trade was very quiet today with buyers and sellers apparently content with limited business conducted on Wednesday and Thursday. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is $1.41 higher ($94.00 to $109.25, weighted average $107.38). Corn futures closed lower, down 2 to 4 3/4.
