GENERAL COMMENTS:

The cash cattle trade was not tested Friday thanks to fairly active trade volume generated on Wednesday. Final trade volume totals look decent in the North and moderate in Kansas. Negotiated biz in Texas was barely tested. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is $2.11 higher ($76.50 to $84.00, weighted average $82.11).
