GENERAL COMMENTS:

Activity in cattle feeding country was limited to the distribution of new showlists. The offering appears to be generally larger than last week, especially in Kansas and Texas. Some asking prices are around $133-plus in the South and $208-plus in the North. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is 0.46 higher ($65.00 to $79.50, weighted average $78.51).
