GENERAL COMMENTS:

Cash cattle trade remained at a complete standstill at the end of the day Wednesday. Even token starting bids were nearly impossible to be seen midweek, allowing the expectation that it may be late Friday before active trade is seen. Asking prices are still not much more developed than Tuesday, but the numbers seen are around $133 to $134 in the south and $208 and higher in the north. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is $0.29 lower ($74.50 to $82.50, weighted average $78.64). The corn ...
