GENERAL COMMENTS:

From Friday to Friday, livestock futures scored the following changes: Dec LC, Up 1.00 Feb LC, Up .85; Nov FC, Up .73; Jan FC, Up 1.40; Dec LH, Off 2.22; Feb LH, Off 1.80. Moderate cattle trade surfaced today with short-bought packers forced to pay higher prices. Live cattle in the South were marked at $131 to $132, steady to $1 higher than last week. Most of the business took place at $132, fully $1 higher. On the other hand, dressed business in the North took place at $208, generally $1 better than a week ago. According ...
