GENERAL COMMENTS:

Activity in feedlot country was limited to the distribution of new showlists. The offering appears to be generally larger than last week, though the Kansas list is about unchanged. Preliminary asking prices are around $134 in the South and $210-plus in the North. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is $2 lower ($74 to $82, weighted average $81.79).
