GENERAL COMMENTS:

Feedlot country remained at a standstill Tuesday with both bids and asking prices sketchily defined. Some showlists were prices around $135 in the South and $210-$212 in the North. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base compared with the Prior Day's closing weighted average is 0.35 lower ($75.00 to $88.00, weighted average $85.03). For the most part, corn futures settled modestly higher with the help of light short covering.
