According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed at $85.41 (weighted average), $0.72 higher; the full price range was $75.00 to $88.25. Corn futures closed 8 to 9 cents lower.


Futures closed higher, up 15 to 82. Strong buyer support returned to live cattle futures early Monday. Although trade through most of the session quickly backed away from early highs, the continued support in nearby contracts was obvious.
