Cash cattle trade was nonexistent Monday. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed at $88.69 (weighted average), 1.36 lower; the full price range was $76.00 to $93.00. Corn futures closed modestly higher, up 2 1/2 to 3.


Futures closed mostly higher, up 7 to 25. The December was down 12 and Feb and Apr contracts were unchanged.
