The cash cattle trade was a yawner for most of the day with little to talk about save a handful of scattered bids around $121 in the South and $192-$194 in the North. Yet light business has surfaced in Kansas and Texas late this afternoon at $123, fully steady with last week. Asking prices were around $125-plus in the South and $196 to $198-plus in the North. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed $2.02 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement $86.00-$96.92 (weighted average $94.94). Corn futures ended mostly 5-6 cents lower.
