GENERAL COMMENTS:

The cash cattle trade was not tested today with both bids and asking prices poorly defined. Significant trade volume could be delayed until Friday. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed $0.71 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement $78.50-$94.00, weighted average $92.92). Corn futures closed higher, up 5 cents in the September and up 3 1/2 cents in the December.
