GENERAL COMMENTS:

From Friday to Friday, livestock futures scored the following changes: Aug LC, off .40 Oct LC, up .10; Sep FC, up .27; Oct FC, up .10; Oct LH, up 2.52; Dec LH, up 2.50. Moderate cattle trading developed in most areas today as packers moved to cover short-term slaughter needs before leaving for the long weekend. Live business in the South was marked at $123, mostly steady with last week. On the other hand, Northern dressed business was generally $1 lower at $196.
