GENERAL COMMENTS:

The cash cattle trade turned moderately active in most areas with prices generally steady with last week. Live trade in the South was marked at $119. More active trade volume was detected in Nebraska where dressed deals held steady at $193. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed $1.65 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement $83.00-$99.00, weighted average $97.30). Corn futures closed fractionally mixed in the December through September 2014 contracts. Nearby September closed up 3.
