GENERAL COMMENTS:

While cattle buying interest improved some today, if only by the number of unacceptable bids placed on the table, significant trade volume was never at risk of getting off the ground (though a few packages in the North were marked at $194). With showlists prices around $122 in the South and $196 plus in the North, feedlot managers had no problem ignoring would-you-take hypotheticals as much as $5 under these thresholds (on a live basis).
