GENERAL COMMENTS:

Cash cattle trade remains undeveloped Thursday afternoon with very little movement seen over the last couple of days in either bids or asking prices. Bids of $193 were seen through the North, as asking prices are holding at $124 in the South and $200 and higher in the North. It will likely be the same through the day Friday, potentially moving into mid to late afternoon. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed $1.21 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($94.59-$105.00, weighted average $103.31).
