DTN Closing Livestock Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Light to moderate trade was reported in parts of feedlot country today with live business generally $2 lower than last week (i.e. $126 basis Texas and Kansas). Most dressed deals in the North were marked at $204 to $205, $2 to $3 lower than last week's weighted average basis Nebraska. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed 1.44 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($76.00-$93.00, weighted average $91.85). The corn market closed lower, down 1 1/2 to 7 3/4.
