GENERAL COMMENTS:

Early week chores in feedlot country were typically limited to the distribution of new showlists. Offerings appear to be mixed, somewhat smaller in Texas and Nebraska but larger in Kansas and Colorado. Overall, ready numbers are somewhat greater than last week. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed $2.31 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($68.00-$81.00, weighted average $80.26).
