Cash activity in feedlot country was limited to scattered sales of steers and heifers in Texas at $125, steady with the early week decline and $2 below last week. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed 0.41 compared with the Prior Day settlement ($58.00-$74.00, weighted average $74.43). The corn market closed steady to 3 cents higher, generally supported by major progress in the bean pit yet also limited by profit taking.
