GENERAL COMMENTS:

The feedlot trade was limited to scattered clean-up action (e.g., $128.50 basis Kansas; $203 basis Nebraska) in the wake of Thursday's spending spree. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base closed $2.19 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($62.00-$78.50, weighted average $74.67). From Friday to Friday, livestock futures scored the following changes: April LC, up 1.73; June LC, up .63; Mar FC, up .30; May FC, up 3.63; April LH, off .53; June LH, up 42.
