Aussie Grain Harvest Hits Record

PERTH, Australia (Dow Jones) -- Western Australian grain growers have delivered a record harvest this season, surpassing the 15.06 million-metric-ton haul from 2011-12, CBH Group said Thursday.

The running total for 2013-14 is likely to increase in the coming weeks, with a number of farmers continuing deliveries, CBH said in a statement.

The milestone comes six days after the grain-grower cooperative lifted its harvest forecast to 14.5 million tons after better-than-expected yields in Australia's biggest wheat-growing state.
