Ukraine Grain Exports Up

(Dow Jones) -- Ukraine's grain harvest this year is bigger than last year's, and the size of its grain exports so far in the current marketing year are 41% larger despite the political unrest in the country, the agriculture ministry said Tuesday.

Between the beginning of the current marketing year--July 1, 2013--and March 24, Ukraine exported 26.8 million metric tons of grain, 41% more than in the corresponding period of the previous marketing year.

The total amount of grain exported to date included 7.66 million metric tons of wheat. Corn exports to date totaled nearly 16.72 million tons, and barley ...
