HRW Wheat Tour Preview

LAWRENCE, Kan. (DTN) -- Scouts on the Wheat Quality Council's Hard Red Winter Wheat Tour can expect to find a late wheat crop struggling through drought after a brutal winter and a late April freeze.

"I expect to see some good wheat in places, but I think overall it's not nearly as good as it was a year ago," said Wheat Quality Council Executive Director Ben Handcock, who organizes the tour.
