There is something wrong with "Soybil" (the patient's name has been changed to protect its privacy). As a market, it suffers from fits of mania (we call this personality the bull) and depression (the bear) and several combinations of the two. Changes in personality can occur over the span of weeks, days, hours, or mere minutes with the patient giving no warning that a change is coming. It's more like a switch going off and on, exasperating those trying to get a fix on the situation.
