DDG Exports Unaffected by Shutdown

OMAHA (DTN) -- The partial federal government shutdown is not having any great short-term effects on exports of dried distillers grains or the work of the U.S. Grains Council, according to a council official. However, a long-term shutdown could threaten funding for the council's valuable work in promoting exports of U.S. DDG and grains.

According to Erick Erickson, director of global strategies for the U.S. Grains Council, exports of DDG and other U.S. commodities have not yet been hindered or delayed by the shutdown.
