MARKET SUMMARY

HRS ended 3 1/2 to 5 3/4 cents higher, HRW closed 3 to 4 1/2 higher, corn finished 7 1/4 to 9 1/4 cents higher, soybeans closed 11 1/4 cents lower to 3 1/4 cents higher (old crop) and 7 1/4 to 13 1/2 cents higher (new crop) and canola ended the day down $5.10 to $5.90/mt.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

In mid-day trade, the TSX is 23 points higher at 14,579. The Canadian dollar is 5 basis points lower at $0.9051 CAD/USD, while the U.S. dollar index is 0.055 lower at 79.940. A positive retail sales report was released ...
