MARKET SUMMARY

HRS wheat closed unchanged to 5 1/4 cents lower, corn ranged from 1/4 cent lower to 3/4 cents higher, soybeans finished 1/2 cent lower to 7 3/4 cents higher, while canola ended $2.90 to $3.10 lower.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

The TSX was 201 points lower at 13,727 in mid-day trade. Canadian inflation rose 0.3% to 1.2% in December, well below the government's target of 2%, which helped support the dollar, currently up 34 points at $0.9020 CAD/USD.
