MARKET SUMMARY

MGEX wheat down 9 to 10 3/4 cents, corn closed 4 1/2 to 8 1/2 lower, soybeans ended 9 3/4 to 25 1/4 higher while canola finished $5.10 to $8.20/mt lower.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

In mid-day trade, the TSX equity index is trading at 12,823.75, up 65.94 points. Both energy and financial issues are seeing gains. The Canadian dollar is 11 basis points lower at $.9594 CAD/U.S. dollar. Gold is $17.90 lower at $1,372.10.
