MARKET SUMMARY

Corn closed 5 to 8 cents higher, soybeans gained 29 to 43 1/4 cents, canola moved $3.90 to $6.10 higher and MGEX wheat finished 1/4 to 3 cents lower.

OUTSIDE MARKETS

The TSX is currently 90.36 higher at 12,764.71 in mid-day trade. The U.S. released disappointing news regarding new-home starts for the month of July, which has led markets to believe that the recovery in the U.S. is behind pace which may hamper any move to slow stimulus spending.
