Bay Street equities are trading 38.28 higher Thursday at 12,184.44 without the leadership of the U.S. market, with trade quiet before Friday's U.S. jobs reports. The Canadian dollar is 4 basis points higher at $.9494 CAD/U.S. dollar. Gold is $2.70 lower at $1,249.40/ounce. Despite a calming of the Egyptian political unrest, NYMEX crude remains at lofty levels, currently 12 cents lower at $101.12/barrel while Brent crude down 29 cents at $105.47/barrel.
